Get in on this!

Alright, book lovers (or GK geeks) here’s a little game we’re playing today and you really want to get in on this!!

OK, so if you’ve been keeping up with the blog (or been getting constantly – and perhaps, irritatingly – updated with all our excitement) today, you will notice these slide shows that keep reappearing in our posts through the day. Now here’s the deal, we want you to see if you can identify these people … and how many you can identify! And try and not cheat, ya!

      1. No, I seriously don’t!!! I may know a lot of the names, but I’m bad with putting faces and names together!!! Now if they had names like “Older than dirt”, “Fatman”, “Squeaky” and “Dumber than dogshit”, I’d probably not have such a hard time remembering them!!!! Instead of putting all fancy artwork on book covers, they should start putting the author’s pictures on there instead!!! Will go a long way in ensuring people remember what the author looks like!!!

  1. Lol! May I just say that’s not an excuse for not knowing your authors! There are some very famous names in there … also, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but most book jackets do sport the pictures of authors nowadays … that’s where these have come from. πŸ™‚

I will give you a clue, however, you’ll find a pic of Tolstoy in there… can you tell which one? πŸ˜‰ Have fun!

    1. They do?! Well then I probably get the special “hide-the-author’s-picture” editions!!! In the words of an infamous Goan politician, it’s a “conspirancy”!!!!! πŸ˜€

Tolstoy is the older-than-dirt one, yes?! See, isn’t that easier to remember?!?!?

  2. Ah, damn! See what I mean?! Older-than-dirt1, older-than-dirt2, they take away the fun and, more importantly, the ease from the easy-to-remember nicknames!! I give up!! I’ll probably end up last in your contest!! Or just barely ahead of the perv who reached the site after being misled by the name!!

Hey, start a conversation! We're chatty people! :)
